Ιnner Ear returns to the world of cinema with the release of its second soundtrack, signed by drog_A_tek. This is the original music score of “Homeland”, the much talked about film by Syllas Tzoumerkas that has received a warm welcome from audience and crititcs both in the greek cinemas and at its world premier during the Critic’s Week of the 67th Venice IFF Festival (Settimana Internazionale della Critica).
drog_A_tek is a flexible musical band re-inventing itself at each meeting. A mixed and eclectic set of improvisation disorder, formed in 2001 in Athens, they record moments in real-time and produce temporary audiovisual environments. They use a variety of media, constantly expanding (objects, analogue and digital musical instruments, typewriters, frequencies, images, recording archives/waste)
“Homeland” combines atmospheric cinematic themes and urban soundscapes – drog_A_tek master this genre – with the charming harmony of chaos and an intense feel of identity that has to do not just with the geographical homeland but also with the internal geography of the individual.
