Strange as it may sound two plastic flowers can bring spring! The Thessalonians Plastic Flowers (Giorgos Samaras and Aggelos Pashalidis) have already 4 EPs and an international tour on their resume and spring is the best time for the release of their long-awaited debut album “Evergreen”
“Evergreen” was recorded with two tape recorders and a reel to reel analog tape recorder in less than two months in Thessaloniki during the summer of 2013 and was completed in England with the collaboration of Panayiotis Papagiannopoulos in production. The band used various vintage analog synths, drum machines and lots of cheap guitar amps. Dream pop atmosphere, lo-fi melodies and lyrics of everyday madness compose the evergreen world of this album. The variety of inventive arrangements and the contributions from New Yorker Ed Askew (Love is Above All) and local heroes Keep Shelly in Athens (Ghosts) make the 11 album tracks quite autonomous and they could stand on their own as different singles.
“Evergreen” is released on vinyl (with bonus cd) and digital album from Inner Ear.
