No Form Of Human Government
Cat.No: Release Date: 26.09.2022 /“No Form Of Human Government” (Rudu Records, 2019) is Echo Basement’s second full-length album. After their 2016 debut LP “Placid”, which received very good reviews and was warmly received by the audience at their concerts, Echo Basement created new material, which they recorded at Dudu Loft in the summer of 2018 under the direction of by Kostas Zampos, who also produced and assisted Stavros Georgiopoulos. The disc consists of six tracks, of which five are only instrumental, with clear post-rock references, with several progressive and post-metal elements.
Indie guitars are a main clue in this album, while a different approach has been taken to the band’s signature flute and additions of synths. Their music is full of atmospheric as well as rhythmic parts, melodic, slow-moving orchestral parts, but also outbursts in an experimentation that still continues. The mastering of the album was done at “Sweetspot Production Studios” by Dimitris Papadimitriou and the artwork by Konstantina Benaki. The band consists of: Haris Razakos (flute, voice), Dimitris Trakas (electric guitar), Christos Kremastas (electric guitar), Yannis Tsoutsa (bass), Christos Kiulos (synths, piano, programming) and Konstantinos Bessa (drums ).
