DETROIT

DETROIT, the new album by P.I.E.V., of The Bad Poetry Social Club, musically produced by Viktoras.

An album with dynamic spoken word interpretations, catchy choruses and musical universes that start from synth/darkwave and end up with post punk and dance and even liquid drum n’ bass, featuring subversive participations from the artists: Pan Pan, Makis Papasimakopoulos, TURBOFLOW3000, A. Epitheti, Vina S., MFS, VASSILINA, Kalliopi Mitropoulou, Libys, Inloss, Sumo, K. Rista, King Panda. Lyrics and tunes that overwhelm the heart, make you travel within yourself, in your present, past and future while your feet can’t stop dancing.

“An album of electric sounds taken from the dreams we had after a drunken party and poetry about life in Athens, love, the parties we don’t go to anymore, anger and nostalgia. A sonic galaxy about the restless nights that we don’t appreciate when we should and they slip through our hands, when all our voices dissolve and get lost in the hum of the big avenues and the shine of their signs reflects stories of love, loss and resilience, about how we got through it. This album talks about how to be an artist and above all a person who wants to live and create in a world of overwhelming speed. The lyrics and music are signed by P.I.E.V. & Viktoras.”

The album was composed and recorded in 2024 and the lyrics are the result of many previous years.
