APLES ASKISEIS STON YPARXISMO

A Serb student from Belgrade, named Peter Restovits, an unbaptized atheist until the age of 19, he found faith and asked to be baptized at the monastery of Hilandarion. During the sacrament of baptism, a friend of his took a picture. While the man was photographing, God allowed a manifestation of the invisible grace of the sacrament of baptism. This was seen when the photos were printed. All have observed with wonder and sacred awe that a white dove sat on the head of the newly baptized! His thrill when he saw the photo was indescribable. This happened in 1980 in the Monastery of Hilandarion, Mount Athos.

Driven by other events of an existential nature, Kore. Ydro. wrote the songs featured on their fourth album, eloquently titled “Simple Exercises in Existentialism” (Aples Askiseis Ston Yparxismo). The tracks were recorded live at the band’s studio in Corfu, amidst the broader crisis plaguing our country at the time.

Having shed blood, sweat, and tears, Inner Ear initially released the album in April 2013 digitally and on CD, followed by a double 10-inch vinyl release in October 2013. Now, 13 years after its initial release, Inner Ear is reissuing the album with a new mastering, available digitally and on double 12-inch LP.
