- COLOURED LP + MP3 PRE-ORDER €26,00
FEF is the experimental music project of Aristomenis Theodoropoulos (visual artist and member of the electronic duo Valisia Odell), which was born in 2018 and returns this year with its second, self-titled album.
The album began taking shape in 2020, during the quarantine period. The initial vision was an instrumental ambient record, and the first tracks recorded ultimately formed the foundation upon which rhythm, melodies, and lyrics were later built. It continues to combine electronic and industrial sounds, field recordings, as well as Middle Eastern and traditional Greek elements. Furthermore, for the first time, it incorporates live drums by John Voulgaris (Bazooka, $oft $kull, etc.), guitars by Aram Barsoumian and the vocals of Sofia Sarri on the track “Ekei”.
Out of these electronic atmospheres, an apocalyptic world began to emerge, a rhythmic struggle between man and machine – mystical, with lyrics that are obsessive, vulnerable, and powerful all at once. The narrator’s identity remains fluid: simultaneously the perpetrator and the victim. A ritual, an invocation to a deity or a love that destroys just as it creates.
The album was completed and then shelved for nearly five years – until now. Perhaps at just the right moment. Shortly before the end of the world.
Out on vinyl and digital in June 2026 via Inner Ear.
